This is a new class we are offering this year. We are hoping to provide you with healthy food options, grocery shopping tips, and ways to work in exercise and movement in your everyday life. This class is open to everyone in the community, but may be especially helpful for those who are living on their own for the first time, headed off to college in the fall, or looking to make some changes in their health and wellness.
Are you a family with a single mom, single dad, or stay-at-home parent? Would you like to get to the place where only one income is necessary? Whether you chose to be in a single income situation or had such a situation thrust upon you, we are here to help! Our class isn't based on the hypothetical, it is taught by a husband and wife team that have been living on a single income since 2000. There will be practical suggestions based on real life, and real prices! This class is for both those in this situation or those anticipating it, and is open to everyone in the community.
Often budgeting seems like a dirty word. Don't let money control you; we want to help you take control of your money. A budget can help you pay down debt, maximize your savings, increase your investments, and make your money work for you. We aren't going to tell you what to do or how to spend your money. We will offer you the basics of budgeting so you can take control.
Have you ever wondered if that additional repair they found at your oil change was really necessary? Do you know if your care has a spare tire, or where it is located? Do you know how to best maintain your vehicle for optimum performance and value? This class is great for new drivers, but everyone on the road can benefit from this empowering class. Know what your vehicle needs the next time you take it in for service, and be confident in your decisions.
Does the thought of cooking at home overwhelm you? Are you hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the first time and have no clue what to do? Do you have at least one week worth of meals you can make from memory? Join us for our Basics of Cooking class to learn how to gather the tools you need, read a recipe, shop for what you need, measure accurately, and create delicious meals at home! This class is open to all ages, so feel free to bring your kids as well (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
